Fueled by a passion for helping clients celebrate life's special moments, our founder, Suzie Struble, an island girl at heart, has enjoyed a career in the event and hospitality industry spanning more than four decades. From intimate gatherings to grand soirees - baby showers, birthdays, graduations, engagements, weddings, retirements, corporate events and everything in between - she has guided clients through it all, whether helping them shape a vision from the start or bringing their long-imagined dream to life.
These days, she focuses her event design on more intimate gatherings and weddings, drawing inspiration from her love of coastal charm and rustic farmhouse style. With a penchant for vintage and repurposed details, she often weaves in natural, eco-friendly elements to create celebrations that feel timeless while reflecting her clients' unique style.
Island Girl Event Co. can help to arrange all the details for your event with our trusted professional industry partners or work with those you've chosen. If you need a private chef, a cake, rentals, a DJ to get this party started or anything else to go along with the day, we've got you covered. Suzie is available to serve as your day-of event coordinator to make it all run flawlessly as well, whether she has planned your day from the start or if you just want someone silently by your side. If you need an outgoing, organized, take charge kind of person there to keep everything running smoothly, you can be confident it will be handled.

At the heart of our offerings is our event staff. Suzie founded her first party business in North Jersey after realizing she was missing out on her own celebrations, busy in the kitchen and serving guests instead of enjoying the day. What began as a staffing service quickly grew into full event planning After a number of years living and working on Maui, she has now made her home at the Jersey shore.
Suzie often makes herself available to serve her clients and their guests herself. In addition, great care has gone into selecting those she's chosen to add to her team. They too bring passion and years of experience to the table. We are proud to say our Island Girl servers and bartenders consistently go above and beyond to ensure our clients and their guests receive nothing less than the very best service, always served with a smile.

Just a sampling of some of our offerings to help with your planning and to make your event one to remember

Offer your guests a specialty drink menu created with your favorites in mind. We can create your menu with seasonal cocktails or mocktails and serve up drinks that complement your vibe or the theme of the party. We'll print and frame your menu for the bar top so you can take that off your to-do list too.

Take the guesswork out of planning. We can generate a complete shopping list for you. Or better yet, we can do the actual shopping. You provide the alcohol. We can provide everything else, sodas, juice, mixers, garnishes, cocktail napkins, plant-based disposable cups and straws, professional bar tools and bar decor. Packages are completely customizable and based on your needs.

Never had to make coffee for 100? We've got you covered. We can create a hot beverage station for you complete with flavored syrups, sweeteners, coffee and tea, organic if you please. Hot chocolate, anyone? We can create an alcoholic coffee bar menu for you as well. Of course, we offer everything needed including urn and carafe rentals, cups, stirrers and cocktail napkins.
Candy bar? We can do that! Decor rentals such as risers and lanterns to make your buffet pop? Yes, indeed. We can also help you arrange rentals with our preferred vendors for tables, chairs, linens, china, glasses, flatware and everything in between. Our preferred vendor page is coming soon. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to let us know how we can help. We have fantastic private chefs, bakers, DJs and more to recommend for you.
We focus on serving our Jersey Shore neighbors from Belmar to Lavallette and select areas of Ocean and Monmouth Counties. Depending upon the size of your party, we are available to accommodate events in Mercer and Burlington Counties and beyond, which may or may not require an extra fee for travel time.
